circa 1891-1911

This carpet famed as "Leaders of the world" came to the attention of some of Kerman producers and weavers in the two late decades of the Qajar period, and several examples of this carpet have already been seen of course with little distinctions. There is another copy of this carpet with two inscriptions at the top, one of which bears the named of Ali Kermani as the weaver.
the present carpet has an inscription indicating that it is woven in the Milani workshop. Milani was of Ravar old producers about whose
workshop there is no information available. In the inscription of some its carpets the postfix "Sho' ar" can be seen as " Milani Sho' ar'. Its pair, now kept in Tehran Carpet Museum, is a little different from this one.
For instance, the four images at the left corner of the present carpet are not seen in the carpet. Moreover, the buildings, the sea and the edifices at the bottom of the ground face rightward, while in its pair they tend toward left
